How we began

Imagine a group of college students living together in one house, trying to figure out how to pool their limited funds to get the bills paid on time. That’s how Billhighway began in 1999, as a simple cash management solution for roommates. Even in those pre-Facebook days, word of this new accounting solution spread from house to house and campus to campus. By 2003, Billhighway was the most sought after financial solution in many Greek organizations and clubs on campuses across the country.

It wasn’t long before Billhighway began to mature as a company. Our team’s leaders began looking beyond college campuses to see if there were other kinds of organizations that could benefit from Billhighway’s streamlined financial system.

Today, Billhighway is an innovative technology company focused on the financial needs of member and donor-based nonprofits. Located in Southeast Michigan, our eleven-year-old company is privately held and led by its original founder with a group of passionate team members.
